Admiral Timothy Laurence CB MVO with
David Switzer, Chairman of the RBLA and
Legion Group plc at
the Dinner

Legion
Group plc, in conjunction with its charitable
owner the Royal British Legion Attendants
Company Trust (RBLA), held its annual
Dinner on Thursday, 18th October 2007,
at the Tallow Chandlers’ Hall in
London.
The
Dinner was held to mark the valour of
the British Forces at the fall of Delhi
in 1857. Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence
CB MVO was the Guest of Honour and the
guest speaker was Professor Saul David.
Among those present were Chris Simpkins,
Kate Adie, Robin Dahlberg, Vice Chairman
of the SIA, and Keith Banbury, past President
of the British Parking Association.
David Switzer, Chairman of the RBLA and
Legion Group plc, thanked those present
for their support. |

During
the evening, Admiral Laurence presented
Legion’s National Awards to two
employees, Rosie Guy and David Head, in
recognition of their outstanding service
to the company..
Rosie
was presented with the Business Services
Director's “Best Newcomer”
National Award. Rosie
joined the Company earlier this year as
a Controller in our National Communications
Centre. Quickly learning our
systems and procedures, Rosie was instrumental
in securing a valuable emergency services
contract for our new Skyguard Lone Worker
Protection System. |

Putting
her previous Police Control Room experience
to good use, Rosie remained professional,
calm and resolute in dealing with a very
stressful situation that resulted in the
arrest of an offender during the service
trials of the new system.
Rosie
has impressed all with her professionalism
and enthusiasm and has just been promoted
to Senior Controller, responsible for
a shift of Controllers. |

David
received the Business Service Director's
National Award for "Service to the
Customer". He is the Supervisor
for our team at the esure offices in Glasgow.
In this role he has prevented several
breaches of security, interacting well
with his team, the customer’s staff
and visitors.
In
addition to his duties that he performs
exceedingly well, David has used his IT
skills to develop a computerised Key Control
Database, an online training package that
requires staff to answer questions on
each shift, grading their performance
