This year's IFSEC exhibition has been a resounding success for Legion Group, with visitors to the stand at an all-time high.

IFSEC was the launchpad for a new strategic alliance which combines Legion's manned guarding and CCTV monitoring services with state-of-the-art technology from Skyguard Technologies, Sensor Electronics, Evolution Electronic Security Systems and Nikaro.

Daniel Atkinson, Legion's Managing Director, said that this unique partnership is the initial indication of Legion's future business strategy and will enable the company to offer customers a total, fully integrated, cost effective security solution. The partnership will be the first solution for the newly created Legion Stratfor Technologies, which will be launched on the 19th June at the World famous Old Trafford football ground in conjunction with its trading partners.

A Real Crowd Puller
The highlight of our stand, which drew record crowds, was the transmission of an intruder incident at Cardiff docks, where we demonstrated the new alliance in action. A Sensor Vision portable security device located on the docks detected an intruder, Skyguard s GPS and GSM technology immediately identified the precise location, and controllers in Legion s Emergency Response Service, who were able to watch the incident on their monitors, alerted the police and despatched one of Nikaro's fleet of Emergency Response Vehicles.

The vehicle arrived on site within minutes and the intruder was then apprehended by Legion security officers until the police arrived. The whole incident was transmitted live from Cardiff docks via a 50 flatscreen on Legion's stand before a crowd of around 120 senior security professionals.

This transmission clearly demonstrated how people and technology working together can provide the ultimate security solution, commented Derek Smith, Legion's Business Services Director. The demonstration created a huge amount of interest not just from within the UK but from all around the world, and we believe this has demonstrated to everyone that Legion is now firmly at the forefront when it comes to providing innovative integrated security solutions.
