Training Courses for TMA 2004 from Legion

With the TMA 2004 Act due to become effective from 31 March 2008, Legion Parking Services are offering training courses designed to assist Local Authorities in the transition from Decriminalised Parking Enforcement to Civil Parking Enforcement.

The training packages include a 3 day transition course for qualified Parking Attendants, a full 5 day Civil Enforcement Officer qualification course and a 4 day Environmental Crime Enforcement course.

The training packages futureproof councils by inviting council officers, at no additional cost, to attend the training for enforcement staff Delivered by City & Guilds qualified trainers, the courses may be run in-house or at one of Legion s C&G approved training centres.

Legion have already carried out TMA 2004 training for Stafford Borough Council, and are scheduled to provide Civil Parking Enforcement training for Kirklees Council.

Legion's extensive training programme also includes Supervisory Training for Senior PAs, C&G Level 2 NVQ in Controlling Parking Areas (1876), C&G Level 3 Parking Clerical for Back Office Processing Staff, Health & Safety, First Aid and Conflict Management, as well as security training programmes which fulfil the SIA training requirements necessary to obtain an SIA Security Licence.
