Volvo,
one of the world’s leading manufacturers
of commercial vehicles, have appointed Legion
Group plc to provide security services at their
prestigious company headquarters in Warwick.
Eight
operating companies from the Volvo portfolio,
including BRS Vehicle Rental, are based at the
extensive site, which comprises a high specification
double storey office block accommodating around
450 staff and housing a training centre for
Volvo technicians. Externally, several
large car parks provide parking facilities for
staff, visitors and delivery vehicles.
The
6 Legion security officers provide round-the-clock
patrols to the whole site, including access
and egress control, and also deliver the internal
mail as and when required to cover for staff
absence.
Legion
beat off several major security providers to
win the contract, and are conscious of Volvo’s
high expectations when it comes to service delivery.
“We
are delighted to have won this contract,”
commented Jeremy Powell Legion’s Head
of Business Development. “Volvo clearly
value their security, and we have formed a close
working relationship with the company in order
to understand and deliver the highest possible
level of service. We are conscious of the fact
that the customer expects us to go that extra
mile and therefore we have raised our game accordingly.”
Volvo
recently hosted Legion’s sales workshop
in their Conference Room, when their Group Purchasing
Director Ian Walker, and Chief Buyer Emma Cramp,
joined the meeting to explain the reasons why
they awarded the contract to Legion and to emphasise
the exceptionally high service levels they demand
from their suppliers. Volvo’s
kind offer to host the meeting demonstrates
the excellent relationship that is developing
as a result of the dedication of the Midlands
operational management team led by Mark Shenton,
Regional Manager. |
