At
Parking Review’s Annual Awards presentation
on Friday, 10th March, Legion Parking Services,
together with their partners Cambridge City
Council, won the prestigious national Award
for Effective On Street Management.
Since
the implementation of Decriminalised Parking
Enforcement in Cambridge in 2004, there has
been a significant reduction in city centre
congestion and illegal parking activity, improved
safety near schools as a result of better visibility,
and protection of resident only spaces. |

At
the recent anniversary of the Contract, Cambridge
City’s Chief Executive said that he was
extremely happy at the way the first year of
DPE had gone and how well the public had reacted
to it, and this view was endorsed by Cambridge
County Council.
The Parking Review Award is
testament to Legion Parking Services’
commitment to delivering excellent customer
service, achieved by working in close partnership
with the Council to ensure effective management
of Cambridge’s on street parking provision. |
