By using GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology, the Skyguard 500 personal safety alarm can identify the precise location of the employee making the emergency call. Legion’s Emergency Response Centre, manned by fully trained, professional Controllers, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, provides an immediate response. All the Controllers have experience and training in working under pressure in stressful situations and face a thorough screening process, conforming to Security Industry Authority (SIA) standards.

Mobile phone technology provides a two-way communication link, enabling the Controller to verify the alarm as genuine and to initially listen-in to assess the severity of the situation. The Controller will then request the appropriate assistance from either the emergency services or the National Response Service.
